Kinky Kinkade
We went to Barnes and Nobles tonight. At the check out, Keith was looking at all the impulse shopping items. He picked up a little book and said "Oh Thomas Kinkade". The lady behind the counter started to giggle. I remembered I had just saw something Thomas Kinkade and told Keith I had thought about him... but I couldn't remember where or when. The lady behind the counter is still giggling. Just then I remembered when and where. "It was in a card for your mom." The lady starts thinking "For his mom?!" and she's totally weired out by it. To Keith I say, "The card had a Thomas Kinkade on it." The lady then starts laughing... "I thought he said something kinky. Then you said you saw something like that for his mom, something kinky. Thomas Kinkade makes more sense."

Honeymoon
This week we went to the travel agent to set up our honeymoon. For all the things we want, there is no island that offers all of it. So we basically had to forgive some element. I'm happy to say that we came to a decision to go to Couples Resorts: Tower Isle in Jamaica. Interesting fact about this resort, they have their own private island that you can get to by taking a 2 minute boat ride so that you can tan naked. So this is how our conversation went.
Keith: "Would you do that, go topless?"
Kim: "I don't know."
Keith: "There will be a lot of Europeans there and they are always naked."
Kim: "Well hunny... you can't get too excited."
Keith: "Ill stick it in the sand."

CPR
...at the flea market, looking at books and magazines...
Keith: holding a book "Here's First Aid."
Kim: "I'm trained in that."
Keith: "Really? Cuz you give horrible mouth to mouth."
Kim repeatedly hits Keith in the arm.

Our 1st invite to the wedding goes to...
The Honorable Barak Obama and Mrs. Obama
The White House
Greetings Office Room 39
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20500
"If you got engaged during this historic election year and you’re planning to marry after January 20, 2009 (Inauguration Day) did you know you can formally invite our new president to your wedding? If you send an invite to the White House you’ll get a personal response signed by the president and first lady. For all your political power couples out there, this is a cheap and easy keepsake idea that’s sure to make your wedding album or planning scrapbook pop. "
Some of the message boards are saying that this department hasn't been made yet. It would be pretty cool to have it before the wedding. Maybe they can get it done by July?

First Day of Spring
and it snowed...
At times, it was like you were in a snowglobe... oh wait, that was a window again.

Updates
Keith - still with the same contractor. Working at University of Penn putting in a new system for the science lab. Lately he's been putting in overtime. Hey, we'll take it. Esp. when a lot of guys in the union are out of work. He did buy new boots and now his back is hurting a little, but not as bad as his feet were. His old boots were four years old.
Kim - I think there are about 60-ish days left of school. But it doesn't really matter... I signed up to teach summer school June 24-July 30. Wait... when is the wedding? July 18. Yeah, I'm teaching during the wedding. I have a sub for the day before. And the honeymoon? We decided not to leave until after Keith's brother leaves, so that we could maximize our time with them. Not knowing when that exactly is, we choose to leave July 31. So I can make a couple extra bucks in those 5 weeks.
Other wedding stuff - We met with the officiant tonight. He seems cool. So now I can go ahead and start the programs. We have the travel agent next week. Other than that, just the tuxes and the remaining items on Keith's to do list.
Other general stuff - American Idol... we love Danny, Adam and I am partial to Lil. We have been watching that new show "Lie to Me". Pretty interesting stuff. Right now I just use my teacher stare to see if kids are lying. Keith is getting into electronics and circuit boards. He's been playing with them. We got our taxes done and we both are getting money back. Yea! I had to pay last year. Boooo.
