Busy Bee/Social Butterfly Weekend
We saw a lot of our friends this weekend. How we fit them all in is science. Friday I hosted an old friend for lunch. Then for dinner, we went to Rich and Colleen's. Saturday, Keith went with my dad to a car show/swap meat. Then we went to a first birthday party for our friend's son. Then we went to dinner with more friends, Steve & Kate. Sunday Keith helped Steve with some drywall, then we went to an "End of Summer BBQ" that actually turned out to be a 30th birthday party. I felt dumb; I made cupcakes! But we also got to see Shaun & Michelle at the party. So the only people we didn't get to see was Jenelle & Roger. But through all of this, I was still able to make the cupcakes, do two loads of laundry, wash the dishes, clean the kitchen, alphabetize our movies, vacuum the upstairs, and reorganize our clothes into the new bedroom furniture.

I am not a liar
On mostly everyone's thank you card for the wedding I mention this phrase some way some how: "Thank you for the generous wedding gift. Currently we are looking for new bedroom furniture." This is very true. We want a set that will last us our whole lives. Meanwhile, I, and then we, have used my grandparents old set since 2002. Well, we found the furniture a few weeks ago but we were waiting for a sale. And then I found the same set at another furniture store for $300 less and Keith's mom had additional $200 coupon. Pretty sweet. Until today. While being a lazy housewife watching talkshows (hey I'm on vacation) I saw a commercial for a one day sale at Raymour & Flannigan. That was the first place we saw the furniture. We like going there to buy our furniture because we get treated like adults. Crazy concept, I know. So we went after dinner and bought the set we wanted (bed frame, dresser, mirror, nightstand), plus a chest, extra night stand, armoire base, and a storage bench. We saved $1000. Fabulous!!!

Wii
With wedding money and shower gifts, we bought ourselves a wii. And we bought two sets of nerf game gear, and a bunch of games, include the wii fit. Fit weighs you every day and hen gives you some balancing tests to calculate your fit age. Ha! The first time I was on it, my body was 37! And you know what Keith was... 27. So not fair. I have been getting better; even got my age to be 22 once. Currently I am 28. Not so bad. There is a training section of wii as well in aerobics, yoga, strength & balance. Today I was able to unlock the boxing game by excersing enough. Keith and I played for at least 1.5 hours after dinner. Tomorrow I am going to buy PunchOut, the remake for Wii. It should be a lot of fun! So do you know of any other awesome games?

scrapbook decorations
This was something clever I thought of, but I'm sure I am not the first to do it. I used most of our wedding cards as additions to the pages. The pictures really look great and the pharses were very appropirate. I think I am going to try to incorporate cards more often.
New Jamaica Friends

While in Jamaica, Keith and I had to make friends! We were fornate to become friends with two couples who live nearby. The one couple, Ken & Teresa, got married on the island. Orginally, they had planned a vacation with their famiies, but due to the recession, no one was able to come to their wedding. We, however, had the privelage to witness their wedding. They also invited us to their reception in Delaware. Today we went to their reception planned for family and friends. Everything was so nice. These are truely good people with more good people surrounding them. We are lucky to have met them & their famiies and to share this new relationship. Congrats Ken & Teresa!!!

"Watch your beagle...
...Micheal Vick's an Eagle"
This is the best protesting line ever. If you don't know, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Mike Vick, the dog fighter/killer. Even though they already have a QB, Vick can play other positions. Get this though, McNabb actually said they should sign him. Wacky, right? Like, does he know that he is going to get hurt? Or does he know that he doesn't have much left in him and he needs a replacement? However Vick can not play for 6 games, as per his punishment. Philly fans are threatening to boycott their tickets and continue to pickett. It's gonna be an interesting season. If T.O. was drama, who knows what Philly has coming.
