New Jamaica Friends

While in Jamaica, Keith and I had to make friends! We were fornate to become friends with two couples who live nearby. The one couple, Ken & Teresa, got married on the island. Orginally, they had planned a vacation with their famiies, but due to the recession, no one was able to come to their wedding. We, however, had the privelage to witness their wedding. They also invited us to their reception in Delaware. Today we went to their reception planned for family and friends. Everything was so nice. These are truely good people with more good people surrounding them. We are lucky to have met them & their famiies and to share this new relationship. Congrats Ken & Teresa!!!

"Watch your beagle...

...Micheal Vick's an Eagle"

This is the best protesting line ever. If you don't know, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Mike Vick, the dog fighter/killer. Even though they already have a QB, Vick can play other positions. Get this though, McNabb actually said they should sign him. Wacky, right? Like, does he know that he is going to get hurt? Or does he know that he doesn't have much left in him and he needs a replacement? However Vick can not play for 6 games, as per his punishment. Philly fans are threatening to boycott their tickets and continue to pickett. It's gonna be an interesting season. If T.O. was drama, who knows what Philly has coming.

One month later...

We celebrated our one month wedding anniversary yesterday by eating leftover wedding cake. No, not the top tier. Keith's mom saved the extra slices. So we decided to eat them for our month anniversarie, leading to the top tier on our one year.

So now that the wedding is over, you would think that my life containing the wedding would calm down. Not so. We are still cleaning the house from shower gifts. I finished making our scrapbook. We had to choose our photos for our album (pick 100 of 837!). I had to change my name everywhere. We have to send in our announcement to the paper. And now the thank yous. They take forever. But they are a must. Whew. Wait til you get yours; they are awesome.

New Craft

I've never scrap booked before but I was given an album at the shower. I went to the craft stores around, bought some paper and a whole bunch of stickers. I printed out pictures done by our photographer (we own all our proofs) and put together a 18 page book. I added two additional pages to document our honeymoon secret. No... don't think that way. You have a dirty mind. All of our guests will soon know of the secret; some of you already do. Keep it a surprise.

But all in all, I ampretty proud of our wedding scrap book.

P.S. We are looking into setting a world record related to our honeymoon secret.

guess what i did...

Guess what I did a while ago. To be honest, 3 days after the wedding.

It was driving me crazy. All the knots and tangles. Not too mention it took forever to dry. Argh!

My hair now... is shorter, about shoulder length, but in a bob style. But not too bobbish that I can't tie it up. I love it!

Date Night

Keith had the idea to go to Wildwood and ride some of the rides at the piers. He told me this Friday for Saturday. I am now used to him coming up with ideas I love and then he switches on me and we don't go. It wasn't until we were actually on the AC expressway that I believed we were going.

It took about an hour and a half, which is normal, but Keith kind of forgot how long it takes to get there, and became a little frustrated with traffic. We got there, found a parking space for free 3 blocks off the boardwalk, and went to Mack's Pizza for dinner. Then it was off to the piers for some rides. We did the go karts, ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and a few roller coasters.

Just before the last roller coaster, we stopped for funnel cake (of course) and some fresh squeezed lemonade. It was the best we have ever had. Lately we have been going to the rodeo and getting their fnnel cake, but it is starting to taste cheap... like they are leaving out the unhealthy ingredient. Not this place on the boardwalk. They had all kinds of funnel cake: regular, strawberry, oreo, m&m's, snickers, etc. Heartattack on a plate! But it was sooo good.
We went to the arcade and played skee ball a few times. I won 50 tickets and Keith won 48, but he did hit the 100 point circle. We gave our tickets to a mom waiting for her kids.
Latly, before going home, we played one of the carnival games. This is the one where you get a bunch of rubber frogs and you place them on a contraction then hit the knob with a mallet and the frog flys in the and lands into a pool with moving lillypads, with the object of the game to land the frog into the lilypad. We did not win.

Gone again, but now found

Yeah, I know. We have been missing again. But if I am disicplined enough, in the next few posts you'll see why. Stay tuned...
